We’re looking for a Retail Pricing Manager to join our Commercial & Marketing team either working remotely or based in our Salford Quays, Manchester or Haywards Heath, West Sussex offices.

In this role you’ll manage the creation, development and maintenance of advanced statistical analyses relating to business performance and customer behaviour, in order to deliver increased profitability for First Central. You’ll also provide the same analysis for third party services, managing key stakeholders expectations and delivery of genuine insight.

Core skills we’re looking for to succeed in the role:

  • Strong personal lines insurance experience
  • Good statistical knowledge
  • Proven record of implementing new models and pricing changes

What’s involved:

  • Responsible for the creation of advanced statistical models of customer behaviour across a wide variety of business processes.
  • Contribute to FCIM strategic decision making with regard to optimisation of sales & profit; and provide advice and assistance with 1CU/Group trading strategy.
  • Recruit, manage and mentor a team of analysts and data specialists.
  • Achieve an innovative approach to analysis which drives the business forward and takes advantage of developments in technology.
  • Provide excellent leadership to all direct reports and monitor the performance of the team.
  • Ensure positive communication with all team members, colleagues, executive and shareholders
  • Assist with the preparation of timely budgets and re-forecasts for relevant function
  • Ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards/ regulations at all times (e.g. Consumer Duty)
  • Comply with the requirements, and act in accordance with, the Group Code of Conduct and Fitness and Propriety policies at all times
  • Any other reasonable duties as required

Experience

  • Solid experience of a relevant commercial role within the personal lines motor insurance industry.
  • Extensive personal and/or team leadership experience with SAS
  • Extensive personal and/or team leadership experience with Emblem
  • Experience with alternative analytical packages advantageous
  • Managerial experience  / team management

Knowledge

  • Excellent knowledge of motor insurance products and the motor insurance industry
  • Solid understanding of business processes and operations
  • Knowledge of FCA requirements
