Where we come to together.

Where are we?

Think back to 2008. The Beijing Olympics, Boris Johnson as London Mayor and Barack Obama US President for his first term. Meanwhile, in Haywards Heath West Sussex, we launched quietly with just 62 colleagues. Secretly bold though, we had the vision and energy to believe we’d thrive in the emerging insurance world of price comparison websites.

We were right. That was only 15 years ago and check us out now! Our 1,200 colleagues look after 1.2 million policyholders who trust us to protect the things they love. They have other stuff to get on with. Around 600 of us are still in Haywards Heath but we’ve added sites in Manchester, Guernsey and Gibraltar as we’ve grown. And it’s been impressive, sustainable progress. We want to stick around.

Capital House, Haywards Heath, West Sussex

Haywards Heath’s in a fantastic spot well served by rail and our shiny new offices are just a short walk from the station. Getting to London, Brighton and Gatwick’s no hassle.

Bang on First Central’s doorstep you’ll find The Broadway, a hive of shops and lively bars, restaurants, and cafes perfect for grabbing some lunch or getting together with friends after work. Sainsbury’s and Waitrose are a stone’s throw away.

Driving? You can nab two hours’ free parking on Perrymount Road or there’s a pay and display car park a two-minute walk away on Heath Road.

The town centre’s not far on foot. Here you’ll find more eateries as well as banks, shops, gyms, even a park. What else? Gorgeous countryside, fab schools, football, rugby, hockey and netball clubs. Even a microbrewery or four.

Haywards Heath’s vibrant and growing just like us; ask the 35,000 people (ish) who live here. We’re talking Sussex’s economic powerhouse and First Central’s, well, central as the town’s biggest commercial employer. There are around 600 of us here. Come and say hi.

Exchange Quay, Salford Quays, Manchester

If we’re talking vibrant, Exchange Quay’s in the buzzing, regenerated Salford Quays, a world-class waterfront development. We moved into our swish new offices in 2016 with 150 people eager to make their mark and there’s now 485 of us. And counting…  With award-winning entertainment, leisure and cultural facilities on the doorstep, including the amazing Lowry and iconic Old Trafford, it’s not a bad spot to be in.

We’re spoiled for choice travel-wise with a tram stop down the road. Just hop on the Eccles Line. It’s a short 15-minute trip from Manchester Piccadilly and the city centre. Not letting the train take the strain? We have visitors’ parking on site; just give us a bell to sort it out before you come. Or take a bus; jump on the 53 or 79 and get dropped off on Trafford Road around the corner. Simple.

There are loads of options at lunchtime to tempt your tastebuds. Just a quick stroll from the building, take your pick from Quay Café and Restaurant or Bean Café. And you’ll find breakfast and lunch goodies in the convenience store, which is handy (the clue’s in the name…) Or stretch your legs and head over to the Co-op, Greggs, Subway or Tesco. White City retail park’s only a 10-minute walk away for Costa, M&S Foodhall and a cheeky Nandos.

After work socialising's a cinch. Not only is there a Hungry Horse pub, Matchstick Man, within five-minutes’ walk, Media City’s two minutes on the tram. You’ll be spoiled for choice with heaps of great restaurants and bars.

In and around the city there’s always something going on. With five universities, a cathedral, museums, galleries, gardens, markets and a bustling Chinatown you won’t know what to try first. Oh, and don’t forget the canals…

St Peter Port, Guernsey

A team of 35 work their magic from our Park Street office in the historic Old Quarter. Some of them are tech wizards but still very much human at heart. We’re a short walk from the main taxi rank or a 10-minute taxi ride direct from the airport; even less from the harbour. Walk10 minutes down the hill for coffee shops, award-winning bistros and restaurants, supermarkets and high street and boutique shops galore. In nice weather, we head for the terrace to lap up fab views of the harbour. With a higher average temperature than the rest of the UK and less rainfall, what’s not to love?

Gibraltar

Our Gibraltar-based underwriting, risk and finance experts make sure we give great cover to the right customers at fair prices. That’s how we work. You’ll find us at 5/5 Crutchett's Ramp, a 15-minute walk or a super-fast taxi ride from the airport.

Bang at the start of Main Street, we’re lucky food and drink-wise. Restaurants and cafés like Café Solo, the Cornish Bakery, Munchies and Nosha abound. Tapas after work? No problem. Chatham Counterguard’s fab. Or for gorgeous sunsets you’ll be wowed by the restaurants and bars at Ocean Village or Queensway Quay marina.

How many companies can boast views of Africa and Spain on the doorstep? Oh, and the famous Barbary apes. Just saying…
